A 1955 Morris Model J van, rare commercial in barn find condition
£3,000 - 5,000

Very interesting van, this is a JB version and use to be owned by a guy named Tony. Its JB/MR 48582 and is a GPO planners van. What is interesting is this is the youngest JB van known, only a hand full were made after this one. Registered for the road 10th June 1961.

Yet more period pictures.-

Taken from the Facebook page, Save the morris J type van.
Sent in by Les, many thanks mate.
Is it sad to know, the J van in the above picture is a GPO mail van, you cannot read the number plate but you can see the head and side lamps are mounted on the body and the windscreen rubber on the driver side is slightly thicker meaning an opening windscreen.
Isetta scooter and a JB van with extra long wiper arms.
Thanks Tim in Oz for finding this Buttercup Bread van video. Check out his blog to see the 30 second  advert video.

More nice pictures!

Cardiff 2007. The first time I've seen this picture, thanks Phil..better late than never.
Any idea where this is? Looks to be very early 50's, no indicators fitted to the van, shame the registration numbers cannot be read. It must be a very early mini bus.
Weekend rally, Humber Bridge area?

Kare Jorgen Underhaug's van in Norway.

Kare Jorgen Underhaug, said via the Facebook page "save the morris j" that he wanted other j van owners out there to see his finished van. Also all J van owners are welcome to come and visit him as long as they bring their vans with them.
So here it is.

Nice rare L/H/D van, now chugging around an island, but thankfully now linked by a bridge to the main land.

A re-paint for an old friend.

The well known static Cafe sign on the South Island of New Zealand has had a small make over, from orange and grubby brown it's now in a fetching shade of one coat white.
