News about the side lamp castings.
Thanks to MTR for supplying a good casting, a pattern side lamp base has now been made. A small batch of 8 more castings will be on order shortly once price is confirmed. The cost will be higher than last time as this is a small quantity.
Somewhere in Poplar, east London.
Why take a picture of a scooter?

Shaping up?
The repaired wing, dents beaten out, the old indicator hole welded up and a skim of filler applied.
The whole wing now needs rubbing down and painting correctly, now where is that paint roller?
On a different note, a Morris J type pick-up truck may well be for sale shortly. If I get any further details I will pass them on.

Whoops.
Let's talk gate posts.
They just don't get on with J type front wings.
So using this small dent as a good excuse to pop down to Devon and a body shop I know.
Yes an early start, we were going past Stonehenge at 8am, nice to see it but I do wonder when they will finish the building work.
I will repaint the wing myself, the body shop would have done it but I just did not want to hang about waiting for the paint to go off.
No real problem coming home just very heavy traffic which caused me to take an hour to drive the last 11 miles home.
All in all a nice round trip of just under 400 miles in a 57 year old van.

Soon driving down a typical Devon village lane.
No problems encountered on the trip down, the dent and a previous repair were soon dealt with and with a skim of filler we set off at 1pm for the trip home.I will repaint the wing myself, the body shop would have done it but I just did not want to hang about waiting for the paint to go off.
