The remains of a J van for sale.

Quote,
This is Noonans Bakery ( an icon bakery that Perth people knew very well 70+ years ago) ex delivery van from back in the day. It's been our centre piece in the court yard of our business Old Skool Collectables Antiques Retro and Vintage here in MADDINGTON on Albany Hway. People stop all the time just to show their kids or grandkids an iconic vehicle. We've had grown men weeping because of a past memory they have recalled.
We're sad to say we have to close down as the real estate won't renew our lease here and we are finding it hard to find anywhere to move our new business of only 6 months too. We finally got over 250 people walking in our door a day to now having to close and find somewhere to store 600sqm of everything you could imagine in just three weeks to God knows where.
It's rough but has character
It's old but comes with WA history
It's heavy I know cause we dug it out of a backyard here in Gosnells in the middle of a bitterly cold part of winter..
Restored she would look awesome that, time and money we don't have.

$2000 ONO

Only serious people call no time wasters.
This is the advert taken from gumtree in Australia.

Just a couple of pictures recently sent in.

Boston, early 60's? Thanks GS for sharing.
Christmas down under, between 38-40 degrees, way too hot for us, we like the seasons except when we have to work on our vehicles outside. Thanks JB for sharing this picture, nice to see you must wear a hat to keep your head warm.
This is the last post for 2015, take a look in 2016 and we might have found something to share by then.

Its nearly Christmas, so it must be Snow White, seven helpers and one J van.

J van project about to be dipped to clean it before painting.

A major restoration takes another step forward.

The picture above is of a repaired van about to be chemically dipped to clean it all up.
It has been a major restoration, everything in front of the "B" post, yes the entire cab has been made from new metal. Once clean it will be reunited with a restored chassis and then on to the paint shop.
Stunning restoration.

Having a tidy up and clear out.

Trying to tidy up one of the garages, came across these J type items.
Can you guess what they are? The first one is easy.

We will be surprised if you can identify what the parts are for in the second image, only used on GPO J type vans.
A second clue is that there should be four of them.
Also came across these, sorry not for sale.
Have a great Christmas.
And not Happy Holiday.....
