Sale details,
Lot 145 A 1961 Morris JB type 10 cwt GPO planners van, registration number 328 BXY, blue. This charming JB type GPO van has been in the current family ownership since 1970. At that time it had been painted blue and converted into a caravan. It was then used for the next 15 years to tour the UK and attend hippy festivals!! From 1985 to 1993 the van was laid up. In 1993 the van was restored by E C Claydon in Essex and there are some photographs of the restoration in progress. Post restoration the van was laid up again until recently being recommissioned and MOTd ready for sale. The van is offered for auction with some receipts and photographs of the restoration, Post Office vehicle books, JB News from the 1990s including issue one, summer 1994 where 328 BXY featured on the front cover, postcards and a manual. This rare ex GPO van is now ready for the next owner to preserve or sympathetically restore. RF60, V5C, MOT to June 2015, tax exempt.
